Sample Food Chart for 1-2 year baby

By first birthday your child should be eating from the family pot 3-4 times in a day. He should take only 2-3 breast feeds and mostly eat everyday household food and seasonal fruits.

When my daughter turned one, I was so happy to introduce all varieties of food that are restricted to below one year baby like honey, cow milk etc.

Here I provide a sample food chart for one year baby with lots of variety. Choose food according to your child interest and availability.

    Morning time:

A cup of whole cream milk. Quantity of milk some time varies as my daughter very rarely finished one cup.☹

    Breakfast:

    1. Ragi uttapam / Soft idli
    2. Home made cerelac
    3. Semolina vegetable Upma/Moong daal chilla

Food chart for 3 to 4 year school going kids

When kids complete their 3 year, its the time for the mother to relax a bit as the kids are now all set to go to school. But at the same time new worries start lingering and one of them is the kid’s food schedule. After some research and suggestion from elders, I came up with a food chart & diet plan for my 3 year old kid.

My daughter is good in everything except eating. This is one and only one problem that I was facing after she completed her six month. My mother – in law consoled me by saying “when she starts to going school, a proper routine will set and she will learn to finish her food without saying much nodding“. It actually happened. 😀 At least she started finishing small paratha that I packed in her lunch box. Now her sleeping and food routine are finally getting better.

    • At 11 to 12 months: 22 to 30 ounces of breast milk or formula in a 24-hour period. Beginning at 12 months, your baby can transition to whole cow’s milk and should drink less than 30 ounces a day (more than this can reduce your child’s appetite for other healthy foods and can lead to iron deficiency anemia).

    • A little less than 14 hours of sleep in a 24-hour period  this includes nighttime sleep and naps. Two naps during the day (morning and afternoon) is typical, though some babies will move toward just one long nap each day.
